Their story begins when their mother drank liquid neon in order to make her eyes glow so she'd be "prettier" (their mother was in every sense insane), and when the foals were born, the neon made their own eyes glow - and caused their manes to fall out. In order to make them look more like "normal" foals, their mother made them fake manes out of liquid neon, but the foals didn't live up to her standards. She constantly told them other ponies would be afraid of them because they were monsters, and finally she abandoned them in the forest before wandering off into the darkness, never to be seen again . . .

But don't worry -- the foals' story doesn't end there. During the night, while making his rounds around the Tree of Tivona's territory, Soft Pelt came across the fillies and instantly fell in love with them. After a fruitless search for their parents, he took the foals into the Adoption Center, where he and Lakeside Glory adopted them as their own fillies.
